Emmet Stewart began this family owned business during the 1929 Depression. He maintained a tradition of quality meats and customer service, at that time delivering his meats throughout the area in his old Model T pickup.
Emmet's daughter, Dorothy, began her career in the market in 1933, and is widely recognized as an expert on specialty sausages. She still uses the old time secret family recipes.
Dorothy's son, Butch, and his wife, Jeanne, now make up the third generation involved in the family market.
Dorothy hopes her grandchildren will continue the family tradition of "Stewart's Meats." |
